Inspired by Breaking the Chains, a walking trail created by Leisure & Culture Dundee and University of Dundee Museums, we’ve created two learning resources that use their incredible work as a starting point. Their Trail selects 28 points in the city that have a connection to the Transatlantic Slave Trade.

Our resources use these points as inspiration, highlighting opportunities to make connections with local and global issues of injustice, through better understanding the inequities of the past.

Breaking The Chains – Making Connections provides suggestions for 28 Global Citizenship activities to help make connections between the Transatlantic Slave Trade and injustices today.

FOR SECONDARY SCHOOLS: Breaking The Chains – Voices For Justice is a project based learning resource that incorporates Global Citizenship as well as DYW skills.
